MAECON Workshop: Beginning Conversations Between Archaeologists and Educators

MAECON Workshop: Beginning Conversations Between Archaeologists and Educators

In August. MAECON will host its first workshop which will bring together archaeologists and educators.  The goal of this workshop is to begin discussions about the needs of educators in Massachusetts and how archaeology can be used to support those needs.  There will be a focus on current archaeology education and its successes and problems.  The conversations and ideas generated at this workshop will help direct MAECON as it moves forward as a resource for both educators and archaeologists.

Speakers will include Sarah Miller, Director of Florida Public Archaeology Network, representatives from New Hampshire’s “Project Archaeology”, Boston’s Museum of Science, and more.
